Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a combination of cognitive and behavioural therapy which helped me change the way I viewed my way of thinking. It coached me to be more compassionate to myself and to let give myself the space my mind needed to cope. I started to focus on the small things in life and tried to not focus on the big (as much).


The Compassionate Mind by Paul Gilbert

The book is based on scientific studies and evolutionary research. It offers an alternative to the traditional Western view of compassion, which can sometimes encourage self-criticism and a drive to achieve. This book helped me understand how being compassionate to yourself is one of the hardest but most important skills we can learn.
